Adding File Servers

  • Go > Connect to server
  • Add the following addresses
  • If you don't know your log in password, click here

Backing Up Files to an OS X Server

  • In Finder, select Go> Connect to Server...
  • Enter in the Server Address: box and click Connect.
  • Enter your full name in the name box and password (default password is password). Note: names may also be first initial and last name.
  • If this is your first time logging into the server you will get a Connection Failed warning. You must change your password before you can log into the server.
  • To change your password, click on the gear in the bottom left corner of the Connect to Server window and select Change Password...
  • Enter your old password and your new password twice.
  • Select the volume that contains your name.
  • A server volume will display on your desktop. Double-click to open it.
  • You can drag files into any of the folders on the server to back-up files. Once files are on the server, they can be opened and edited from your computer.
